Black Bears actually can be cinnamon, blue gray, or creamy white while the glacier bear is pale gray to blue in color. Weight varies as much as color as they range from 200 - 500 lbs. Average height is 25 inches at shoulders and 60 inches long. Except for a mother and her cubs together most bears travel alone. All bears hibernate from late fall to early spring.
